La Passagère celebrates the 150th anniversary of Cristal
A unique gastronomic experience
On the occasion of the 150th anniversary of the iconic Cristal cuvée, Belles Rives is partnering with the prestigious Maison Louis Roederer to offer a rare gastronomic experience at La Passagère: a five-course menu elevated by a pairing of five exceptional champagnes, including three Cristal cuvées, among them the highly anticipated Cristal Rosé. Set on the terrace of La Passagère, overlooking the Mediterranean, the dinner becomes a true culinary journey enhanced by the beauty of the sunset.
This exclusive collaboration, specially designed for the hotel and its renowned restaurant, will not be offered anywhere else in France. A unique proposition that highlights the special relationship between Maison Louis Roederer and this iconic location on the French Riviera. Frédéric Rouzaud, CEO of the Champagne house, describes Belles Rives as “an intimate and romantic setting,” perfectly aligned with the excellence and poetic spirit embodied by the Cristal cuvée.
Available from May 21 to the end of September 2026, in harmony with the Riviera’s vibrant summer season, this experience crafted by Aurélien Véquaud and Aymerick Verdy, respectively Executive Chef and Head Sommelier of the Belles Rives group unfolds a culinary composition in perfect harmony with the selected champagnes. Signature creations include the “Merveille” oyster paired with Cristal 2016, and sweetbreads with Nori seaweed, offering marine and textured notes in dialogue with Cristal 2009. Conceived as a refined and immersive discovery, the menu is priced at €490 per person and will evolve from the second half of June to reflect seasonal ingredients.
The year 2026 marks a remarkable celebration for Maison Louis Roederer, which commemorates both its 250th anniversary and the 150th anniversary of the Cristal cuvée, created in 1876. A symbol of light, precision, and emotion, Cristal has always embodied a bold vision of exceptional champagne. On this occasion, two new expressions of Cristal will also be unveiled, showcasing the Maison’s unique expertise and its relationship with time.
